I. Identity in Christ
We desire that people experience a life-changing, personal and intimate relationship with Jesus. Each person's destiny is only reached when Jesus becomes his or her identity. A person's commitment to Jesus is reflected and realized through their devotion to: II. Family
The church is only as strong as its families are strong. The maturity and strength of the church family is intrinsically linked to the maturity and strength of the family structures. Therefore, Heritage Fellowship Church will maintain sensitivity toward families by offering the following:
III. Relationship
God is a relational God as evidenced in His creating mankind for fellowship.
Jesus is a relational Lord as evidenced by His life and atoning sacrifice.
The Holy Spirit is a relational guide - He promised he would never leave us or forsake us.
The Word is a relational book - sharing both the good and bad of people's histories with a message of hope if we walk in relationship with God.
Our desire is to be a people who share life with one another, affecting positively the lives of those in the church and our communities. The church is a living organism, not an organization. Believers are interconnected parts of a single body. We need each other. As a community of believers, we desire to see the development of the following:
Pastoral Teams Discipling Relationships Counseling Teams Small Group Ministries
These will aid us in looking well after the flock.
We desire to foster an atmosphere of love and grace where people are encouraged toward maturing in their spiritual life.
IV. The Great Commission
"Go you therefore" is at the core of who we are as a church family. Reaching out to our community, state, nation, and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a passion deeply rooted in the heart of Heritage Fellowship Church. We have an understanding that we are called to "go" and "bless" in the name of Jesus.
Evangelism comes in many packages, but the root of all evangelism is each believer sharing Jesus and living a holy life.
