Jim, as Senior Pastor, gives a fathering care to the local congregation and a network of growing churches and ministries.  Having been in the ministry since his teen years, he brings a rich and diverse heritage to the congregation known as Heritage Fellowship Church. 

He graduated from Carson-Newman College in 1971; had seven years experience with the Hawkins County Department of Human Services in the areas of child neglect and abuse investigations, foster care and adoptions; has served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, church administrator, private Christian school administrator, organized and directed a statewide Christian school organization, led short term mission trips and led a church planting team in the nation of Dagestan during 1994-1996.  

Jim leads from a relational perspective and desires that all people experience a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ that is strengthened and blessed by the brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ. 

Jim and his wife, Peggy, have four children:  Jonathan (married to Lisa Price), Kara Moss (married to Casey Moss), MacKenzie Myers (married to Benjamin Myers) and Jamison.  One of their greatest joys as a couple is the opportunity of having their children walk along side them in ministry.
