Our Story
In January 1997 eleven couples joined together to discern God’s will concerning a church plant in Jefferson City, TN. A theme Scripture emerged during this season: Psalm 107:35-38 “He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs, there He brought the hungry to live, and they founded a city where they could settle. They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a fruitful harvest; He blessed them, and their numbers greatly increased, and He did not let their herds diminish.” During a weekend retreat, a decision was made to move forward with birthing a church in Jefferson City. Jim and Peggy Price were asked to step into the founding pastoral role. Stephen and Shannon Jones would serve alongside as worship leaders and Stephen as the Associate Pastor. The desire of those eleven couples was the planting of a church that would seek His presence, be a safe place for the broken, impact Jefferson City and the Lakeway area with the love and compassion of Jesus Chris and honor God by reaching nations with a discipling focus. |
